Let's jump in.

Step 1 - Design a viral contest post on Facebook

For their February 18 event featuring EDM up-and-comer JAUZ, HTG Events launched acontest on their Facebook Page, offering fans a chance to win a meet-and-greet with JAUZ by simply sharing the post, and telling them why they deserve to win the contest:

Key takeaways:

Step 2 - Drive Facebook Shares with CrewFire

After the post is made, it's time to drive as many Shares as possible.

By launching a CrewFire Blast Campaign, HTG Events was able to leverage their team of brand ambassadors to drive an initial36 Shares of the post, giving it the spark it needed to gain momentum and go viral.

Here are the step-by-step instructions showing how HTG Events drove Shares.

A "permalink" is simply a direct link to an individual post on Facebook. This is the link you want to encourage your Ambassadors to share on Facebook.

In any new CrewFire Blast Campaign, you have the option to suggesttext, links, and imagesfor your advocates to share.

In this, case, you'll want to be sure to include the permalink to your Facebook Post in the Suggested Content.

The permalink will tell Facebook to make the Post as a Share. This will drive up your Share count on the post, giving you the initial push necessary to ultimately achieve virality.

In this example, HTG Event's CrewFire Blast gave their contest post the initial traction it needed to gain virality - achieving 138 Facebook shares over the next week and ultimately contributingto a sold-out show. A massive winfor HTG Events.

Your mileage will vary depending on the attractivenessof your contest prize and thenumber of advocates you have on CrewFire, but as HTG Events has shown, this is just one more example of the power of CrewFire to engage your brand advocates to drive more reachon social media and word-of-mouth.
